​Rototuna Information Day

A community information day for northeast Hamilton residents is being held in Rototuna on Wednesday 18 April. 

The drop-in event at The Peak at Rototuna High Schools' campus on Kimbrae Dr from 3-7pm is for those wanting to learn more and share their views about progress and plans in this fast-growing area of the city.

Representatives from Hamilton City, Waikato District and Waikato Regional councils and the Waikato Expressway will be on hand to share information, answer queries and receive feedback across the following areas:

  • Proposed road construction including Borman Rd, Resolution Dr and the Waikato Expressway
  • Development plans for the Rototuna town centre including planned communit​y facilities
  • Rototuna sports park and other park development
  • Proposed safety improvements to Gordonton Rd including an upgrade of the Thomas Rd/Gordonton Rd intersection
  • Planned upgrade of Lake Magellan to improve stormwater treatment quality
  • Bus routes
  • Walking and biking path networks and links
  • Road closures and openings

There will also be an opportunity to make a submission on the city's draft 10-Year Plan, which is open for consultation until 30 April.
