RITS open for consultation
The Regional Infrastructure Technical Specifications (RITS) have been released by Waikato Local Authority Shared Services (LASS) for targeted consultation.
The RITS sets standards for design and construction of public infrastructure and is intended to provide clarity and consistency for contractors, developers, and consultants in the Waikato region.
It includes standards for earthworks, transportation, water, wastewater, stormwater, landscapes, and accepted materials.
The RITS coverage area includes Hamilton, Hauraki DC, Matamata-Piako DC, Otorohanga, South Waikato DC, Waikato DC, Waipa DC, and Waitomo DC.
Once adopted, the RITS will officially supercede the Hamilton City ITS.
Submissions are open until 4 October, with two six-monthly reviews planned. Click on the link below.
Infrastructure Technical Specifications
Infrastructure Technical Specifications (ITS) takes over from the previous Hamilton City Development Manual for all development projects in the Hamilton City Area.
This updated version covers areas such as earthworks, landscaping, water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation and general infrastructure.
This Manual sets out the processes and standards that are to be followed and met whenever any development project is undertaken in accordance with Hamilton City Council’s District Plan.
