Variation 5

Provisions for Temporary Signage

The Variation sought to provide a city-wide standard for temporary signage with specific limitations on the total area of the sign associated with the site frontage and the size of an individual sign.

For certainty the Variation also included a definition of temporary signage. The Variation consolidated the provisions for temporary signage, increasing the area that can be erected on properties in the city's living environments (the Residential, Future Urban, Community Facilities, Major Facilities and Recreation Zones).

Decisions made regarding this Variation were effective from Wednesday 7th July 2004. No appeals were received. The Variation now forms part of the Proposed District Plan.
