Elections 2016

We want more Hamiltonians taking part in the decisions that shape their city and the surrounding areas.

One of the most important ways you can do this is by taking part and voting, or by standing for election as a representative on the Hamilton City Council. By voting or standing for election, you have the power to be heard and make changes on the issues you care about.

This year’s election will take place Saturday 8 October.

Electoral Expenses

Candidate electoral expenses can now be viewed. Electoral expenses are defined as relating to electoral activity which can comprise advertising, broadcasting or communication material to the public (electronically or otherwise). These electoral expenses are generally funded by the candidate and are not reimbursable from the organisation the candidate is standing for.
