Nominations open today, Friday 4 August, for the Hamilton City Council's 2017 Civic Awards, which recognise the invaluable work of dedicated members of the Hamilton community.

"Outstanding things are achieved every day by people in our city,” Mayor Andrew King says.

“Each year the Hamilton Civic Awards recognises the achievements of these exceptional people and now is the time to nominate someone you know for one of these prestigious awards. Whether they are involved in the arts, environment, education or sport, or dedicated to people and wellbeing, if you know someone who is making a significant contribution to the community, then we want to hear about them.”

Nominations close on Friday 15 September. The awards will be presented at a civic reception on Friday 8 December. Nomination forms are available online, or from the Council's Customer Services Centre.
