1. A Revealing Thyme – Friday 9 February to Sunday 11 February – Hamilton Gardens

As colonist Mary Best describes the properties of medicinal plants she reveals aspects of her life, weaving in stories of love as sweet as a rose, and loss as bitter as an artemisia. Joanna is based in one of Hamilton’s oldest homes where she completed her doctorate on the history of medicinal plant use in colonial New Zealand.
