A section of northern Victoria St, near the Fairfield Bridge, will be under traffic control tomorrow, (27 February), to allow for the removal of a failing tree.
The tree, a robinia, is above the bus stop near the intersection of Victoria St and Edgecumbe St. The tree has a large crack in the trunk.
To remove the tree safely, Victoria St near the site will be under traffic control from 10am to approximately 3pm.
Motorists are urged to be courteous and patient while passing the site when road is down to one lane, or consider crossing the river at the Whitiora/Boundary Rd Bridge.
