With so much going on in Hamilton this weekend and next week, we have collated our fab five things to do:

1. NZSO: Summer Pops - Music from the Movies - Claudelands Arena – Friday 16 February

A programme that will include the music of Vangelis (Chariots of Fire), John Williams (Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List), Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future) and  Bill Conti (Rocky). Be swept away as the NZSO goes widescreen and takes you on a magical movie-themed adventure. Conducted by Associate Conductor Hamish McKeich, join us as we perform some of the most popular themes in movie history.

2. FREE EVENT - Festival Hub – Hamilton Gardens – Friday 16 February to Sunday 18 February

Come early, stay late, or just come and hang out in the festival hub, where you’ll be treated to a great free line up of musicians, roving performances, market days, and installations, alongside a terrific range of food and drink options.

3. Vegan Food Festival – Hamilton Lake Domain – Saturday 17 February

Hamilton Vegan Food Fest is bringing the best Vegan Food to the Waikato region this summer! Bring your picnic blanket and sun hats and chill by the water with live music and some sweet vibes. Family friendly so bring the kids along. This will be a Zero Waste event so we encourage you to bring your own plates and cutlery. If you forget don't worry, we will help you to recycle effectively with bins provided.

4. Shiny Side Up Bike Fest – Claudelands Arena – Saturday 17 February

Shiny Side Up Bike Fest is the big day out for bikers and riders. In its third year, the event again invites motorcycle enthusiasts to roll up and soak up the smorgasbord menu of stalls, demos, presenters and more - all with a motorcycle theme.  In 2018 we are heading to new regions and we want to step up the game - we invite you to be part of making this a superb day for the motorcycle community.

5. T20 Tri-Series: BLACKCAPS v England – Seddon Park - Sunday 18 February

International cricket is the epitome of the NZ summer experience and this Tri-Series is shaping up to be a cracker.  When we’re all there, we are the game. Our excitement and buzz builds up our heroes and supports their cause. We’re essential in building the drama and tension at those crucial crunch points that define national pride.
