Young Drivers Safety

​​​​​​​​Need help to get to the next stage of your licence? Register for our Young Driver Course.

The course is suitable for drivers 16-24 years who are about to sit their restricted licence or who already have a restricted or full licence. You must bring your own warranted and registered vehicle.​

The course includes a mixture of theory and practical components.  Emergency braking (off-road), reversing (off-r​oad). Parallel parking, one on one tuition (on road). Tyre and basic car maintenance. Workshops – Drink driving, distraction and speed.

Date: Sunday 3 December 2017
Time: 8.15am - 4pm
Cost: $50 (lunch provided)
Venue: Hamilton

The Right Track Programme - Te Ara Tutuki Pai

The Right Track is a programme developed by the Eduk8 Charitable Trust, in consultation with NZ Police. The Right Track is multi-experiential, highly effective 42-hour education programme, which changes profoundly the lives of its participants who are young people referred by the courts, NZ Police and Child Youth and Family (CYF) through Family Group Conference.

Hamilton City Council partners with the courts, NZ Police, CYF and Ministry of Health to bring The Right Track programme to Hamilton.
