Hamilton City, Waikato District and Waipa District Councils are working closely with their communities to conserve Waikato’s water now and for the benefit of future generations.

Recent summer droughts have shown how important and urgent this work is. When we use more water than we need we add to the problem.

Water alerts are put in place to ensure there is enough water for everyone to use during a dry Summer, its a way of setting boundaries to ensure that everyone plays their part in being smart with their water.
