Events, festivals and filming even on a small scale help bring an energy and vibrancy to Hamilton streets and public spaces and we welcome these activities in our city.
If you wish to film in public spaces within Hamilton, please complete the Filming Application Form below and one of our friendly staff will contact you to discuss your proposal.

Please be aware that the organiser needs to ensure that all participants comply with all laws, regulations and bylaws at all times during the activity and that all participants comply immediately with any instructions issued by the NZ Police or Hamilton City Council officers in the execution of their duties.
When filming any scenes that include depictions of illegal activities, battle scenes, special effects like explosions, crowd scenes or other activities that might cause concern by members of the public Hamilton Police need to be consulted.
