We offer two types of event sponsorship:
- Community event fund- for funding up to $5,000; and
- Major Event sponsorship – for funding from $5,000.

Update re: COVID-19
At present, due to the current evolving COVID-19 situation and the uncertainty this brings to event organisers and event goers, we have chosen to suspend our application round for the allocation of Council's 2020/21 event sponsorship fund. This means we won't actively seek applications to the fund at present. We will update this webpage with more information as we can.
Hamilton City Council has a goal to promote the city through the support of events in Hamilton and has a priority to focus on events and business tourism. The goal is best described as the promotion of Hamilton as a business and event visitor destination of note. Council has an annual fund that provides financial support to events that meet certain criteria.
