Creative Partnerships Fund

Applications are now open for Hamilton City Council's new Creative Partnerships Fund for the first year of its three-year trial.

The dollar-for-dollar scheme supports the city's creative community in delivering new arts initiatives, from performances and artwork to multicultural activities.

To apply to the fund, an arts initiative must be new.  There is no limit – within the $150,000 – to the amount requested.  Applications can be made at any stage of the project but if successful, applicants will need to have secured funding or sponsorship equal to the amount granted from the fund prior to payment being made.

What will be funded?

  • New creative projects.
  • New arts development and implementation.
  • New installation and/or performance costs.

Criteria:

  • Initiatives must be new.
  • Initiatives must have secured funding or sponsorship equal to the amount being requested.
  • Initiatives must be local to Hamilton.

When will I know the outcome?

The pool of funding available for the Creative Partnership Fund 2021-2022 is $150,000.

This funding round will close on June 2022, or when all the funds have been allocated.

Once submitted, your application will be assessed. However, it will be at least 12 weeks before the outcome of your request is known. Please take this into account when you plan your project dates as Council does not fund retrospective requests.
