The Waste Minimisation Fund receives $50,000 a year from the national waste levy administered by the Government. This money is allocated each year to groups and organisations in the Hamilton City area with projects that are achieving and/or promoting waste minimisation.
The fund is run by Hamilton City Council and driven by the Resource Recovery Coordinator, Jordyn Stuart. As Hamilton moves toward a more sustainable and waste conscious future under the Waste Management and Minimisation Plan, the fund helps the community to join that path too.

$50,000 is available to be allocated in this financial year. Applicants can apply for either a minimum $1,000 to a maximum $15,000.
