What does this mean for Hamilton Pools?

​​​The safety and wellbeing of our community, our customers and our team members is our number one priority.

We are closely monitoring the advice from the Government and Ministry of Health and will be updating our website as new information becomes available.

Are we open?

No. Effective Sunday 22 March Waterworld and Gallagher Aquatics Centre closed to the public as a precaution to slow the spread of COVID-19.

What are the pools closed?
The country is now at Alert Level 3, which means all public spaces must close. Alert Level 4 takes effect from midnight Wednesday (25 March) for four weeks and means everyone must stay at home unless they work in an essential service.​

My child has swimming lessons booked, will these still run?
No. All swimming lessons have been cancelled until further notice.

I have already paid for my swimming lessons; can I get a refund?
Yes, our staff will be able to process a refund for you when our facilities reopen. Or payment can be transferred to lessons when we reopen.

What will happen to my pool membership?
Pool memberships will be extended to ensure our customers get the full use of their membership.

Will the café at Waterworld be open?
No. The café is also closed.
