What does this mean for Waikato Museum, ArtsPost and i-SITE?

The safety and wellbeing of our community, our customers and our team members is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring the advice from the Government and Ministry of Health and will be updating our customers via our website and social media platforms as new information becomes available.

Alert Level 3

Are we open?

No. Waikato Museum and ArtsPost are closed to the public. At Alert Level 3, all public venues are required to be closed as people are not allowed to congregate.

What about the Museum education programme?

Our education staff can provide online content, student and teacher resources and virtual sessions on request. Contact them at education.museum@hcc.govt.nz.

I'm visiting Hamilton – how can I get information about what to do here?

At Alert Level 3, people are expected to stay close to home and their bubbles, so it's still not the right time to tour the region or the country. But if you're planning a trip to see us in the future, our i-SITE is continuing to operate remotely. Our helpful team can be contacted via phone and email and there's plenty of information on the Visit Hamilton website:
