What does this mean for hospitality?

The wellbeing of our community and our team are our number one priority. We are closely monitoring the advice from the Government and Ministry of Health and will be updating our website as new information becomes available.

Alert Level 1

What does Alert Level 1 mean for food businesses and alcohol licensing?

For hospitality businesses it's back to business as usual under Alert Level 1.

Please refer to the Food business fact sheet COVID-19 from the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI), which was sent to all food businesses.

It's also back to business as usual for the liquor industry as Hospitality New Zealand reported and confirmed on their website:

"Hospitality New Zealand expects that with restrictions such as social distancing and table service restraints lifted, businesses in the hospitality sectors will start to recover and slowly return, over time, to profitability."
