3. Consent fees relief and refunds

​​​​​Council is offering a full refund to anyone who wants to withdraw a building consent or resource consent application as a result of COVID-19. This applies to all consents accepted​ and paid for prior to 24 March 2020.

  • Resource consents
    For more information or to apply for a refund please email planning.guidance@hcc.govt.nz​.

  • Building consents
    For more information or to apply for a refund please email building@hcc.govt.nz.
    All requests need to be made by the consent applicant and include the consent number, address and bank details for a refund.
