Council resolved at its meeting on 19 March 2020 to no longer progress with the processing of Plan Change 11-Residential Density.
This topic is of significance to Council and currently subject of a comprehensive review. That review is likely to give rise to a different future plan change that deals with residential density matters in a comprehensive and integrated manner.
What did Plan Change 11 cover?
The changes proposed as part of this plan change included:
- reducing the minimum section sizes in the General Residential Zone from 400m2 to 300m2
- enabling apartments in the General Residential Zone next to open space zones around parks, the lake or the river
- processing apartments as a non-notified activity in the Residential Intensification Zone.
