Plan Change 11 – Residential Density

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Hamilton City Council has started preparing Plan Change 11 and we are now calling for feedback on the draft provisions. Feedback closes​ on Monday 30 September 2019 at 4.30pm.​

What does Plan Change 11 cover?​

We are proposing to make some changes to the District Plan, including:

  • reducing the minimum section sizes in the General Residential Zone from 400m2 to 300m2
  • enabling apartments in the General Residential Zone next to open space zones around parks, the lake or the river
  • processing apartments as a non-notified activity in the Residential Intensification Zone.

We are at the initial consultation stage, which will be followed by a public notification period at a later time, when you can make a formal submission.
