Hamilton City Council has started preparing Plan Change 11. The opportunity to provide feedback on the draft provisions closed on 30 September 2019. We are currently reviewing the feedback received.
What does Plan Change 11 cover?
We are proposing to make some changes to the District Plan, including:
- reducing the minimum section sizes in the General Residential Zone from 400m2 to 300m2
- enabling apartments in the General Residential Zone next to open space zones around parks, the lake or the river
- processing apartments as a non-notified activity in the Residential Intensification Zone.
Where are we now?
We are at the initial consultation stage, which will be followed by a public notification period at a later time, when you can make a formal submission.
