Hamilton’s Claudelands Arena will play host to the Silver Ferns netball team during the 2012 Quad Series later this year.
It was announced yesterday that the Silver Ferns would take on the Australian Diamonds during the final round of the Quad Series on Thursday, 1 November at Claudelands Arena, alongside a game between England and South Africa.
Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker said it is exciting for Hamilton to have secured these top netball games at the city’s premier sports arena.
“It is absolutely fantastic for our city to have four international teams for two games playing on one day at Claudelands Arena on the world stage,” she said.
“With the games taking place in the final round of the series, it also means they could potentially be decider matches – it very well could come down to the wire and if it does, these will be the games everyone will be watching.”
Tickets for the Quad Series will go on sale later in the year. FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT:
