Feedback is being sought by Hamilton City Council on proposed changes to improve safety on several Hamilton streets.
The changes include proposals for variable or permanent speed limits of 40km/h outside some schools.
Hamilton City Council’s Transport Manager Jason Harrison says the Council is seeking feedback on proposed changes in several streets to better understand what the local community thinks about their local roading network.
“As part of our on-going commitment to our residents the Council is always working to better understand road risk and how we can improve the roading network in our city.
“We have identified some changes we can make on our roads that will better reflect this changing environment and we’d like people to give their views, “says Mr Harrison.
Residents have until 9 June to submit their feedback. A Statement of Proposal will be presented to the Hamilton City Council Growth and Infrastructure Committee on 1 August.
Residents can submit their views by visiting www.hamilton.govt.nz/RoadRisk or email email@example.com.
