Two sections of Hamilton’s popular river path network will be closed next week to allow for path maintenance work.
On Monday 22 January Fairfield Esplanade will be closed while Hamilton City Council teams place additional rock beside the path, and Te Hikuwai path in Pukete will be closed from Tuesday 23 January to Thursday 25 January so new metal can be laid.
The closures are required for safety reasons as trucks carting rock and gravel will be operating in the area, but the work is being planned to ensure the paths can be reopened as soon as possible. Detour signage will be in place.
