Apply for, change or cancel a resource consent

​​​Resource consent applications take up to 20 working days to process provided the application does not require notification, and you have provided all the necessary information with your application

Before lodging your application, check with our duty planner to see whether you need to come in for a pre-design or pre-application meeting​.

Please also check with Council's Development Contributions Team whether a development contribution charge will be applicable to the consent prior to lodging your application.

You, or someone representing you - such as a builder, architect, surveyor or planning consultant - must complete an Application for Resource Consent. 

Applications will only be received for formal lodgement when all documentation is correctly completed together with fees payable, a full explanation of a proposal, assessment of effects, plans and checklists.

WLASS Aligned Planning Application Forms

These forms are able to be used for a number of Councils within the Waikato region as part of the Waikato Local Authority Shared Services Ltd (WLASS) Aligned Planning.  Please see Council logos on the form for the applicable Councils.  In order to use these forms, you need to download and install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
